Very Short Introductions (VSI) is provided by Oxford University Press and offers
concise introductions to a diverse range of subjects. All titles provide intelligent and serious introductions to a huge range of subjects, written by experts in the field who combine facts, analysis, new ideas, and enthusiasm to make challenging topics highly readable. Lund University Libraries currently subscribes to one subject module, Arts and Humanities, which contains about 220 titles. Titles available in fulltext for users from LU are marked with an open, green padlock 


Please note that:

  • This module is only available for five (5) concurrent users. If you are user number six you will see this message: "The simultaneous user limit associated with your subscription has been exceeded."
  • It is not possible to download ebooks or chapters from VSI, but if you create a personal profile (choose 'Create' at the top of the site) and then click on the 'save' icon save, the title or chapter is saved to your My Work account.
