What is Zotero?

Zotero is a free software tool for reference management. It is free to download and also has a web browser plugin.

Zotero is available for both PC, Linux and Mac and includes the following functions:  

• Search bibliographic databases on the Internet and import the references to your Zotero Library.
• Use Zotero Connector to add references to your library online with just one click.
• Organize references, images, PDFs and other files
• Create manuscripts in Microsoft Word with built-in templates as well as automatic bibliographies.      

Zotero is an open, free, software. You do not need an LU license or login to download or use it. If you have a Lund University computer and cannot install software on your computer, please contact Lund University ServiceDesk for support servicedesk@lu.se or +46 46-222 90 00.
