An excellent program to help Swedish speaking people how to spell in English. As a student at LU you can download it to your own computer. There is also a program to check spelling in Swedish, Stava Rex.Both programmes installs in Microsoft Office and is used from within.There are also solutions for Mac-users.

Guidelines for writing

The AWELU platform is an online resource for academic writing in English at Lund University. Here you find useful information on how to write and cite. It also contains information about Academic Integrity.

Scientific Communication

At the Physics and Astronomy Library there is a special shelf with books to help you write and cite, how to present your thesis or other projects in an academic way. Shelf number is 14.5. The shelf number at the Astronomy Library is 015.

Read Popular Science to compare with Scientifical Writing! Shelf number 14.3 at the Physics Library, and shelf 014 at the Astronomy Library. If you want to read articles in popular science check out our different journals at the library, on the premises or electronically.

Figures/images in your report

Always assume that the figure/image you want to use in your report is copyright protected.

Make sure you have done the right thing using other people´s figures/images in your report.
