I Lantmäteriets webbtjänst Historiska kartor kan du enkelt söka efter kartor och handlingar på två olika sätt.
1. Sökning via kartan: Du markerar ett område i en översiktkarta och får tillgång till allt material från de olika arkiven som har anknytning till området.
2. Avancerad sökning: Du söker direkt i de olika arkiven. Du kan söka på ortnamn, på årtal och förrättningsåtgärd, till exempel laga skifte.
För att kunna titta på de historiska kartorna behöver du ladda hem bildvisningsprogrammet DjVu.

Sveriges äldsta storskaliga kartor. Du kan söka i materialet på olika sätt, via register eller via modern karta och även exportera databasen uppgifter till Excel.

The Digital Atlas of Roman and Medieval Civilizations (DARMC) makes freely available on the internet the best available materials for a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) approach to mapping and spatial analysis of the Roman and medieval worlds. DARMC allows innovative spatial and temporal analyses of all aspects of the civilizations of western Eurasia in the first 1500 years of our era, as well as the generation of original maps illustrating differing aspects of ancient and medieval civilization.

From the SLU download service GET you can download maps and geodata from several authorities, including Lantmäteriet (the Swedish mapping, cadastral and land registration authority), Sjöfartsverket (Swedish Maritime Administration), SGU (Geological Survey of Sweden) and SCB (Statistics Sweden).

The Geodata portal allows you to search, view and download geodata from different sources. The Geodata portal is primarily a portal for presentation of metadata. In some cases, there are links to each data provider that can offer downloads, but all material is not available in full text.

On Miljödataportalen (Environmental data portal) you will find reports and data, including geographical data, with information on nature and the environment, such as environmental monitoring, area protection and results from inventories and analyzes. You can search for information throughout Sweden or select a specific area.

Swedish Geographical Surveys provides different types of geological maps, both digital and printed.

The Swedish Forest Agency presents valuable forest environments and cultural remains in Swedish forests. ultural remains are reported in Swedish forests. Currently there are over 500,000 objects in the database. The various objects appear in a map, where you can choose what to look at and in what geographical area.

In the service Map Search and Place Names - intended for private use only - you can view maps, orthophotos (processed aerial images) and hillshading. You can also find properties, addresses and place names as well as view the altitude of individual points across the country.

The UN Atlas of the Oceans provides information relevant to the sustainable development of the oceans. The information includes information about the oceans, from history, biology, maps and statistics to research, climatology and ecology.

Ortnamnsdatabasen innehåller alla skånska bebyggelsenamn – namn på gårdar, hus, byar och tätorter – som finns i samlingarna.

Ortnamnsregistret utgör en digitaliserad version av det Topografiska registret i Namnarkivet i Uppsala.
