TorTalk is a text-to-speech program, which works on both PC and Mac, and also on tablets using Windows.
With TorTalk you can:
Listen to digital text in various formats (word, pdf, html, text...)
Listen to all e-books and articles in full text
Determine the reading speed yourself
Choose from 20 languages and 60 voices
If you have a reading disability, you have the right to have the course literature adapted. It is most common that you receive it as a talking book.

Borrow printed course literature
You have the right to an extended loan period for the course literature. The loan period will automatically be four weeks, including reloans. Contact a librarian if you want an extended loan period.
To be able to read talking books on the computer, you need a reading program. EasyReader is a reading program for PC and MAC. Lund University has a campus license for EasyReader. You can download the program and install it on your own computer. EasyReader is installed on student computers around the university as well as on library user computers.
EasyReader contains a built-in speech synthesis. You can read texts in Word and .txt format. If you have pdf files you want to listen to, you can resave them in the appropriate format.
