Books

To find your course books use the library catalog LUBcat.

LUBcat

Reservations are made online using the library catalog and are collected from any of our library locations. Placing a reservation online is simple. Follow the instructions below or watch the video. Books that you borrow from the library are automatically renewed 5 times unless someone else has reserved them. So, if you need to get hold of a book that is currently out on loan, place a reservation in the library catalog.

How do you reserve a book?

Access LUBcat using, for instance, Google or a catalog computer in the library.

  1. Search for the author or title in the search bar, or enter title keywords and combine these with the editor/author's surname.
  2. Choose the book you would like to reserve by clicking on the title name in the search results list.
  3. Scroll down on the title information page to see if the book is available. If all copies of the item are on loan, click the "Queue for all checked-out items" button displayed on the right-hand side of the screen.
  4. Log in using your student account.
  5. Click on the Submit request button.

You will be notified by email once the book(s) arrives. It will be held for 7 days.
