Information about registering and publishing research

ORCID is an international researcher ID,

used as anidentification by many publisher and funders. For you, as researcher, it is an easy way to make sure that your outcome is attributed to you and not anyone else’s with the same or similar name. You can also create a connection from LUCRIS to ORCID, allowing an automatically update of your ORCID profile.

All doctoral dissertations must have an ISBN. The number is unique to your publication. Electronically published publications have a separate number. Both ISBNs should appear on both versions. The library distributes ISBN for dissertations. Send the following information to bibliotek@kc.lu.se:

• If you need two ISBN numbers, one for the printed version and one for the digital version
• Name
• Birth date
• Title of the thesis
• Date of defence
